한녕하세요! 태국에 오신 것을 환영합니다 .... Welcome to Tourism Thailand's Blog......*Thailand is Safe to Visit. Avoid the obvious protest areas. Those are easy to avoid.Even at the protest areas you will be treated kindly or with indifference. I must suggest at this point to not be lulled. I expect the peaceful protestors will be attacked with deadly force. Combat should be expected at some protest area. For vacations, Thailand remains fine and safe. Hotels are becoming pleasantly affordable, from already great prices. Folks who have never been able to stay in a 5-star hotel, this is your moment........NOT "Occupy" Bangkok. The Whistlers are not a Mob. Mob is a bad word. A mob is a large group that is out of control, such as the Thaksin mob of 2010 who set Central World and about three dozen buildings ablaze, while they shot bullets and grenades downtown. That mob shot the Dusit Thani hotel with an RPG. The Whistlers' Revolution is not a mob but a huge peaceful group who demand change. The Whistlers' are NOT doing an "Occupy Bangkok" in the sense that Americans think of Occupy Wall Street. Back home in America, I saw some of the "occupy" protestors. It was a clown protest led by clowns. The only thing they were missing were giant red shoes. The Whistlers are not clowns. The Whistlers are a serious group of people with just cause for their actions. If you call this "Occupy Bangkok," many of the most serious Americans will think it is a circus led by clowns. This is not the case. This is a serious showdown by serious people. For me, this is the Whistlers' Revolution, January Bangkok Showdown. We all know that provocateurs will attack. They already have begun. Keep the cameras ready and show the world........Thanks for Michael Yon

Welcome to Hua Hin International Film Festival 2012
http://www.huahinfilmfest.com/en/the-festival-about.php

About the festival
Everyone is welcome.
Whether you are a keen moviegoer, a fan of foreign films, or are just looking for something new and different, you are welcome at the Hua Hin International Film Festival.

It is a rare chance to see a wide range of new, exciting, and original films from Asia and beyond, to learn about films and filmmaking, and to meet the stars.

Here on our website you will be able to get information on all the exciting films and events taking place in Hua Hin between the 26th and 29th January 2012.

The main venues for the festival are:

InterContinental Hua Hin resort - official festival venue.
This is where the opening and closing ceremonies will take place.

For security reasons these events are restricted to invited guests.

But you are welcome to join us for the Red Carpet parade of the stars on the beach on the evening of 27th January.

The InterContinental Hua Hin resort is also where the Press Centre can be found, and will be the meeting place for our filmmakers and invited participants.

The Major Cineplex, Market Village.

This is where the festival screenings will take place.

With the sole exceptions of the opening and closing films, tickets for all screenings can be booked via the Box Office of the Major Cineplex, Market Village.

Anybody can come and see the films. You do not need to register. Just come to the cinema.

Tickets are priced very reasonably, and the computerized box office ticketing system will allow you to choose the seat you prefer.

Remember that some films are likely to be very popular and tickets will sell out early, so it is a good idea to book in advance.

During the period of the festival, there is an information desk at the Major Cineplex, so please feel free to come and introduce yourself and get more information on the different screenings and events.

As a member of our audience, you can also help us choose the films that will win festival awards. There will be voting forms available at Major Cineplex which will determine the Audience Awards.

Centennial Park

Everyone can join in the festival fun at Centennial Park. There will be live music, shows, movie-related displays, a large screen showing festival highlights, and lots to eat and drink.

Most importantly, the proceeds from ticket sales and from Centennial Park activities will be donated to the Flood Victim Relief Fund.

This modern 320-seat theatre, the dream project of 'Kru Lek' Patravadi, will be the venue for our Seminar events, and will hold special family events in honour of Khun Patravadi's long and esteemed contribution to the arts. There will be also “Patravadi in Retrospective”; a retrospective of all movies starring 'Kru Lek'.

Application for registration to the seminars is open to all via this website under the SEMINARS section.
